Part of this Budget 2022 has arrived and there is lots of good news for homeowners looking to carry out home energy upgrades this year.  A total of €858 million overall has been allocated to the Department of the Environment, Climate and Communications. €368 million of this will be used for Energy Transformation, an increase of 17% on last year.

What does budget 2022 mean for homeowners?

The government has allocated €202 million for residential and community retrofit schemes. This will fund large home energy upgrade projects. Grants for individual home energy upgrades such as Boiler & Heating Controls, Insulation and Renewables will also continue.
